Clients
Clients are the homeowners and businesses you do work for. The Client tab in CRM lists every client, and each client record holds its contacts, tasks, emails and notes.

Where clients come from
- Promoted leads. Most clients start as leads. When you win one, use Promote to Client on the Leads tab. Its contacts, tasks and notes come with it.
- Added by hand. Click + Add Client. Only Name is required.
- An import. Upload an existing customer list. See Importing clients.
Finding clients
- Search matches a client's name, industry, city or country. It doesn't search email or phone, so use a column filter for those.
- Without Task narrows the grid to clients with no task attached, useful for spotting accounts nobody has checked in on.
- Task Due and Tasks show each client's next due task and how many tasks they have.
- … → Columns shows or hides columns. Your layout is saved to your account.
Editing a client
Double-click a client to open Edit Client.

On the left are the client's details: name, email, phone, a single address, Client Type and website, plus a quick note box. Press Ctrl+Enter to save a note.
On the right are tabs covering everything connected to the client:
- Notes Summary combines tasks, job visits, emails and notes in one list, with checkboxes to hide what you don't need. It's the fastest way to catch up on an account.
- Contacts holds the people at this client.
- Tasks holds the follow-ups for this client.
- Communication lists emails sent to and received from the client.
- Notes holds the client's notes in full.
Send Email and Send Email Template at the top email the client directly. Save Client saves the details on the left.
Contacts

Use + Add Contact for everyone you deal with at this client: owners, tenants, site contacts, accounts payable. Contacts save as soon as you add them. Double-click a contact to edit it, or click Remove to delete it. Choose a contact type for each person so your team knows who to call about what.
Working with many clients at once
Tick the checkboxes next to the clients you want:
- Create Tasks creates the same task for every selected client.
- Delete removes the selected clients.
- … → Send campaign opens Email Marketing with the selected clients.
- … → Export Client downloads the selected clients as a CSV file. The download button next to the search box does the same.
Importing clients
Click the upload button next to the search box, or … → Import Client.
- Choose a .csv file.
- Columns are matched to client fields by header name. Drag a file column onto a field to change the match. You can map up to three contacts per row.
- The preview shows how many rows are Ready, and flags a Warning on any row with neither a phone number nor a website.
- Confirm the import. Each row is imported separately, so a few bad rows don't stop the rest.
Tips
- Fill in the address as soon as you have it. It's used to place jobs on the Jobs day-map and in route planning.
- Imports don't set client types. After importing, open each client to choose one.
- When importing contacts for the first time, try a small file first to check the column matching.
